the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act didn’t get the memo. On Friday, Secretary Becerra at the US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) announced that he intends to amend the declaration under the Act for medical countermeasures against COVID-19.
So instead of repealing the Act, parts of it are to be extended - never let a good crisis go to waste, even if it’s the end of the crisis.
The announcement says that even once vaccines, tests and treatments move away from being distributed under a US Government agreement and they transition to traditional pathways, the PREP Act still won’t automatically terminate.
They’ve managed to extend the crisis that has just ended to at least December 2024, more than another year and a half - bravo! And they’ve managed to sneak in flu vaccines as part of the emergency as well.

November 2020: Pfizer vaccine achieved 95% efficacy against symptomatic COVID-19 in trials and Moderna vaccine achieved 94.5% efficacy against symptomatic COVID-19 in trials.
February 27, 2021: FDA issues Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine (for ages 18+), stating “Overall, the vaccine was approximately 67% effective in preventing moderate to severe/critical COVID-19.” Like the initial Pfizer and Moderna press releases, it also said, “At this time, data are not available to determine how long the vaccine will provide protection, nor is there evidence that the vaccine prevents transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from person to person.”
May 10, 2021: FDA expands the EUA of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents 12–15 years of age. This press release stated, “At this time, there are limited data to address whether the vaccine can prevent transmission of the virus from person to person. In addition, at this time, data are not available to determine how long the vaccine will provide protection.”
August 6, 2021: CDC Director Walensky tells CNN that the vaccines can no longer prevent transmission.
“Important note: Vaccine efficacy and effectiveness are often used interchangeably, but there actually is a distinction. Efficacy is in trials, effectiveness is in the real world, and is typically lower. Read more in this explainer from Yale Medicine.”

It is an absolute statist freak show on every level. It’s not that the GOP is much better. But for a guy in 2023 to run as a democrat on a classical liberal, free market platform is quite something.

Representative Stacey Plaskett, who called Michael Shellenberger and me "direct threats to people who oppose them," is now threatening me with prison - over Mehdi Hasan's uncorrected error
when Plaskett writes it was “misinformation” for me to be “alleging that CISA — a government entity — was working with the EIP to have posts removed from social media,” she herself is engaging in misinformation. It may be an unintentional mistake, as she certainly seems capable of not knowing or caring to know underlying reality, but it reflects a fundamental misunderstanding. Only a person totally unfamiliar with the issue could believe that CISA/DHS were not closely involved with content moderation at Twitter, to say nothing of other companies. Both she and Mehdi are wrong about this, and make their accusation in defiance of a lot of obvious documentary evidence.
Chicago Un-Fires Workers by Igor Chudov
Today, the fired Chicago workers received the ultimate vindication: Chicago’s administrative law judge for a state agency ruled the city has to reinstate workers and make up for lost wages and benefits.
“Administrative Law Judge Anna Hamburg-Gal said the city violated the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act by not bargaining in good faith over vaccine requirements and changes in sick leave policies. Her ruling, issued Wednesday, requires the city to “make whole” workers who lost pay and benefits, plus 7% annual interest.”
These workers are, at last, the winners: they kept their health and their jobs and received full pay. They are still victims of Covid vaccine promoters: no one will compensate them for months of worry, stressing out about not having money, family tensions, and more.

Pfizer has aggressively advanced RCTs into the pregnant population with no assurances on long term outcomes. Furthermore, they moved the goal posts to make it easer to have a successful trial.
A lower boundary of the confidence interval for vaccine efficacy (99.5% confidence interval [CI] at 90 days; 97.58% CI at later intervals) greater than 20% was considered to meet the success criterion for vaccine efficacy with respect to the primary end point. This is far lower than a reasonable acceptance limit of 50% for the lower bound.

Moderna Hid Serious Side Effects by Alex Berenson
By the time Moderna’s scientists finished revising the Vaccine paper in early February, the company may have received up to four more reports of serious side effects. In all, during the placebo-controlled phase of the trial, which ended in early 2021, seven of the 400 healthy volunteers who received a two-shot regimen of Moderna’s vaccine suffered serious side effects. (Two hundred of those volunteers received the 100-microgram dose that became the approved version, while another 200 received a lower 50-microgram dose.)
The problems included a heart attack and two miscarriages.
In comparison, the 200 people who received a placebo shot without any mRNA had no serious side effects.
Seven vs. zero.
In February 2021, Moderna scientists published results from the Phase 2 trial of the company’s mRNA Covid jab in the journal Vaccine.
In the “Highlights” section at the top of the paper, Moderna’s scientists reported: “No serious adverse effects were observed.”
That statement was untrue.

The evidence shows that Secretary of State Antony Blinken, then a senior advisor to the Biden campaign, worked with Michael Morell, former Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), to draft a letter falsely claiming that emails found on a laptop in the FBI's custody that showed members of Biden's family sold his influence to various foreign governments including China, Russia, and Ukraine were Russian disinformation.
James Clapper, former Director of National Intelligence, came up with an idea that would discredit the laptop as Russian disinformation while giving the former officials cover. Clapper’s idea was to draft a ‘fifth paragraph’ stating, “We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement — just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.”
Clapper knew, as a current CNN analyst, that the media wouldn’t bother to point out that this paragraph rendered the letter meaningless. The team in Hollywood, armed with the fifth paragraph, managed to convince fifty-one former intelligence officials to join their conspiracy to ensure President Trump lost the 2020 election.

Bobby said he would be a terrible candidate in normal times…But in this special time, when we are on the verge of losing the world as we know it, he said he is the right candidate.
And he is correct. He is an honest person. He has the common touch. He has a soaring intellect and extensive knowledge base, which were on display in his talk. He is a gifted speaker. He has gravitas. He has travelled everywhere, he knows the way our government works, he knows a zillion people in government.
He doesn’t need to run, he is risking everything to run, and he is running not for his ego, not for fame or money (since he already has them, and the beautiful wife) but because he needs to tell the world the truth with the biggest possible megaphone, to help save it. He is putting his body against the machine.
